CCR at its best.....
For me? CMO. Getting my butt kicked in the FoG II and FoGII Medieval tournament (Currently I'm 0-4). Doing BoC work. Researching various Soviet-era emitters for CMO description files (I'm real fun at parties ;D) And finishing up the "Sink the Bismark" scenario in Kriegsmarine for an AAR/review for Grogheads.
Love CCR.
Also love Old World. I even love learning that I am not that good at it [yet] and will probably lose my first campaign. But I know I will be playing this game for 100s of hours to come. A new favorite!
Continuing my Total War: Troy campaign as Ajax (the cooler one) as well and will be playing some Assassin's Creed: Odyssey soon too.
Still having a blast with my second ATOM RPG run...pver 60 hours so far....its going better but my two companions got slaughtered by suicide Doomsday Cultists a while back so I am now playing solo but up to level 9 and getting nicely equipped and skilled up.
Second Old World campaign is at turn 120 and has my peaceful Carthaginians just in second place behind the warlike Assyrians who I am appeasing and throwing luxuries at like there is no tomorrow to keep them sweet. I'm not proud🙂.
I have 9 of 10 ambitions done and need two more techs for the victory.
Really love this game too.
New rig not here for another week or so :tickedoff:
Where's the new pc coming from?
PC Specialist in the UK.
Its my own fault really as I decided to change the spec after order by switching to a much better graphics card.
No rush...for once I have bought a new rig before my existing one has blown up. The new 27" curved monitor has arrived though and it is a whole new ball game. I know a lot of folk have moved onto 4K but I dont need that for the games I like and this is a big step up for me at a price of about 1200 £ sterling which I can (just about) afford !
A good friend of mine was in the hospital on life support and it sounds like they've taken him off. He was a super heavy alcoholic (bottle of hard liquor every day) and was apparently blacking out regularly with half his liver basically being a giant blood clot. It's been a slow and steady descent for the last few years so it's not altogether surprising but still a pretty big bummer. I'll be bumping some Satan's Hallow tonight in his memory as it was one of his favorite metal albums.
Sorry al.
Sorry to hear about your loss al.
Sorry for your loss...
Exploring the South Atlantic map in DCS and dicking around with Slitherine's Starship Troopers game. Maybe some more Shipbreaker and trying to get back into Star Dynasties, as well.
Thats tough Al.
Thoughts with you and your friend.
Other peoples lives are difficult to rationalise sometimes but I am sure he had his reasons for his lifestyle.
In the words of the great Robert Frost " The Road not taken" is one we could all have disappeared down given different choices we made.
Thanks guys, I appreciate the thoughts.
Sorry about your friend.
Ditto. My Wife's sister drank herself to death years back. Nobody tried harder or more persistently to get her to stop than her family. Even though it didn't stop her, it was well worth the effort everyone went through to at least try. CMBN's "Courage and Fortitude" Campaign this weekend for me because everyone should try to win one CM campaign pre year. :-[
