The Marine Corps wants to establish and Irregular Warfare regiment with foreign nationals.

Wonder what Chief of Staff George Marshall would think of this? At a suggestion to allow German POWs to enlist, he scuttled it with a pithy, "no Hessians".

This has been kicked around off and on for over a hundred years. The closest we ever got was the Philippine Scouts.
