Goodness, so many games I want to play right now (and not enough hours in the day -- as always :P )...

Probably some Interstellar Space: Genesis and Thrones of Britannia, at the very least.  Or maybe I'll change my mind and go with Stellaris and/or Warhammer II instead.  ::)  We shall see...!

Great song!

I understand you very well! I moved my old computer in my office and ended up playing games on it and among them Rome: Total War. Yesterday, i just wanted to give a small go to Stars in Shadow and ended up playing until 2 in the morning  :crazy2:!

So i will try to focus again this weekend:

- Napoleon: Total War: i have one battle left: Waterloo. Otherwise i finished all the campaigns and battles of Napoleon. Maybe i should start a campaign with another faction, like the Ottomans.
- Hercule Poirot ABC Murder. Didn't play it this week so i really have to make some progress.
- Polaris Sector: really have to make some progress in my campaign.
- Rome: Total War: trying to finish the Gauls before one of the other families takes up Rome.

Happy Weekend guys

Gusington

Awesome song.

Continuing to get pummeled in Civ VI but I am starting to learn at least how to survive. Playing a modded game as Antiochus of the Seleucids capped at the Classical Age and the Nubians and Zulus have been using me as a punching bag for 100+ turns!

Will probably also get back into AssCreed Odyssey and maybe futz with Age of Empires: Definitive Edition.

Stay healthy!

Howdy all... making it a goal in this pandemic to get more involved in the online forums I tend to just lurk in.

My lineup shall continue to be Field of Glory II, World of Tanks, and getting back into Dominions V.

Got an MP match in FoG II with a mirror Bagradas battle of the Carthaginians vs Romans.  Moving from the skirmishing phase into the engagement phases, so it's getting exciting.

Meanwhile, in WoT, I still continue to rock with my British AT Tank Destroyers.  Love those beasts!

Great song BTW!

Unusually nice weather here in the UK is making both lockdown and gaming more difficult. However, I am signed up to the IL2: Flying Circus Bloody April X event on Saturday.

Sir Slash

I'll be trying to help the Brits out down that bloody long road in that bloody tough Market-Garden campaign for bloody CMBN. So far I haven't seen a single, bloody Jerry at all. That's when I begin to worry.  :-\  Bloody worry I mean. Have great damn weekend Grogs, enough with the, 'bloodies'.
"Take a look at that". Sgt. Wilkerson-- CMBN. His last words after spotting a German tank on the other side of a hedgerow.

No idea, something that will let me unwind with a neat bourbon / scotch after working 10-12 hour days all week.

Might put Too Many Bones back on the table

Some Oxygen not Included.

Maybe some mindless fun.
Insert witty comment here.

God's Teeth that sounds wizard!  To quote the Russian idea of what Brits sounded like in 1940 (from IL2:Cliffs of Dover).  I will be doing little more than the usual DCS, HLL and world of warships.

MtG:Arena maybe?  The new set came out 4/16, Ikoria.  Based on kaiju.

My buddies have been telling me about it. I'll have to load it up.

Wish I knew how to build decks. I really suck at that part.

I started playing Disgaea 5 again. Ironically it is very similar to Too Many Bones. Methinks Chip Theory may have gotten some inspiration from that series. Among all the other turn based battle games.

Death: trying once again from scratch to tweak my overall progression strategy for Ultimate General: Civil War.  :pullhair: Also various mp games.

Taxes: time to do my taxes, after the stress of doing the parents' last weekend.  :pullhair:

Death and (socialist workers' paradise) taxes?  >:D -- up to February 1941 in my Icebreaker Thesis Chronology. Just posted an entry for February 21st, where the Soviet General Staff gives to the People's Commissariat for Transportation, all necessary paperwork for moving the Second Strategic Echelon westward.

What is that, and why is that important, especially in context of pre-spring 1941?? Hush Comrade, do not ask too many questions!  ^-^ (But there's a ludicrously over-brief summary at the entry, linked above.)
ICEBREAKER THESIS CHRONOLOGY! -- Victor Suvorov's Stalin Grand Strategy theory, in lots and lots of chronological order...
Dawn of Armageddon -- narrative AAR for Dawn of War: Soulstorm: Ultimate Apocalypse
Survive Harder! -- Two season narrative AAR, an Amazon Blood Bowl career.
PanzOrc Corpz Generals -- Fantasy Wars narrative AAR, half a combined campaign.
Khazâd du-bekâr! -- narrative dwarf AAR for LotR BfME2 RotWK campaign.
RobO Q Campaign Generator -- archived classic CMBB/CMAK tool!

I am not the best at deckbuilding either.  I have come to find, over hundreds of matches, that a good deck consists of two things: 1) a theme and 2) the proper cards to flesh it out.  The latter is much more difficult than the former in Arena.  Especially if you are grinding for your cards.  However, if you are willing to spend some real money in the game, you can get a buttload of cards and make it easier on yourself.  Regardless of how you accumulate them, once you do, there are deck builds online that can tell you exactly what cards you need in what proportion.  That's how both of my friends who play have done it.  Plus, not sure how much you have played, but, when you buy Packs of cards, you start to accumulate Wild Cards.  These can be turned in to any other card in Arena.  So if you get enough of them, and you find a deck build you like online, you can go back into the game and cash your Wild Cards in for whatever cards you don't have.

So my current build (no idea if it is still viable) is a black / green cat deck.

I do know about the wilds and have been using them here and there.

Haven't spent much on the game but might throw so cash to get on the bonus track.

Bloody wrong Bloody April?  I got the Flying Circus thing and its April 1918 (of course Bloody April was April 1917)...not that it matters all that much.  One can't get too puzzled by "historical accuracy" when people (in HLL which might need to be renamed Infantile Hell Let Loose) that the Italians should not be a "faction" in the game because they "surrendered to a handful of marines" and only used German Equipment anyway (so they could be represented by "Germans" who want to "surrender to a handful of marines").  I find it hard to believe people could be "interested in WWII" but think that Italy only used German equipment and "surrendered to a handful of marines".  Really some kind of fantasy game would cover all that...I guess you would just need some panzers and some marines.  Anyway, I took a screenshot of a Bristol Fighter in Flying Circus -- its a MArk III so it could not have been in the 1917 version of Bloody April, though an earlier mark could have been (I think):
