The 'Canes also shipped out Gleason for picks / stray bodies.

They're trying to come up with a nickname for the Staal - Staal - Semin line they're experimenting with.
Someone suggested the "Triple $s"
Someone else suggested the "Tantric Line" - I think that one might win :)

In Montreal, there are rumors of trading Eller for Jeffery Lupul.  SMH

There have been a lot of rumors about a deal between Montreal and Edmonton, too. Eller, Tinordi and Fucale on Montreal's side and Eberle/Yakupov and Petry from the Oiler side of things. Any combination there would make a lot more sense to me than Lupul. Heck, I really like Lupul's game, but the guy simply cannot stay healthy.

Wow.  Tinordi & Fucale?  I was hoping they would want to keep those guys.

Well, Fucale's top end upside for them is pretty much 'Carey Price's backup', so he's likely to get traded at some point.  ;)

^^OF COURSE that went down against the Oilers. What a laughably hilarious dumpster fire the Edmonton Oilers organization has become.

FWIW, the Oilers did have a 3-0 lead mid-way through the second.  Once Semin scored that goal, it kind of fell apart for them

Of course it did. They're the Oilers! Seriously, they're hilariously bad...and yet also hilariously overrate their supposed 'talent' level. It's a constant source of humor when you live near the team and yet don't cheer for them.

FWIW, only one franchise in NHL history has a 400-goal season for the entire team.  The Oilers did it 4-5 straight seasons back in the 80s and no one has ever done it before / since.

See, when quotes like this regularly come from Oilers management in some pathetic attempt to ignore the current state of things (of course, many of them were there...the new owner is desperately trying to collect the whole set of 'heroes of the eighties' action figures), it's a lot less impressive. And funnier!  ;D
