My four introductory "Battle Command" series games, originally published in 2010 and 2012 and now out of print, are being republished with all new artwork and revised rulebooks by Lock and Load publishing. The first of the four may be viewed here: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/285869/assault-sky-battle-crete-1941

Anyone played the original? I don't have any Crete games, I've visited many of the battle sites there as Crete is our favourite Med destination, the game and the map looks gorgeous, and the campaign itself, well the German Paras had no right conquering a large island as they did.

I haven't played this but command ops 2 foothill of the gods has some excellent scenarios on Crete and a hypothetical Malta invasion. Well worth playing

I believe Operation Mercury from MMP has received good reviews.  It's part of their Grand Tactical Series.

Thanks Geezer. I have a few MMP OCS titles, and have struggled to get a solo game going before playing a team game. The rules seem well written, it is just that I have not been able to piece together a stretch of time to actually get going. Their GTS series games look equally interesting, I want to get going with them as well at some stage.  Operation Mercury seems like a good candidate for that.
