Interested in Warplan ... any thoughts on the quality of the game ...
Looks like a similar scope to Operational Art of War with strategic layer added ...
Your thoughts would be appreciated!

The two games are quite different from each other making it hard to compare them.  I like them both.  Warplan is WW2 Europe only while OAOW4 spans many eras (Napoleonic to Modern) and locations around the world.  Warplan is the easier of the two to learn. IMHO you can't go wrong with either.

TOAW has modders who convert boardgames to the system, too.

So if you ever wanted to play the infamous North Africa Campaign boardgame? -- there's a good mod for that!  :D
ICEBREAKER THESIS CHRONOLOGY! -- Victor Suvorov's Stalin Grand Strategy theory, in lots and lots of chronological order...
Dawn of Armageddon -- narrative AAR for Dawn of War: Soulstorm: Ultimate Apocalypse
Survive Harder! -- Two season narrative AAR, an Amazon Blood Bowl career.
PanzOrc Corpz Generals -- Fantasy Wars narrative AAR, half a combined campaign.
Khazâd du-bekâr! -- narrative dwarf AAR for LotR BfME2 RotWK campaign.
RobO Q Campaign Generator -- archived classic CMBB/CMAK tool!
