I have lasted this long and waited for releases to appear on Steam for, what, years now? I guess it's a matter of principle now. 'I made it this far.' Etc.

I dunno.

Speaking of, Daemon X Machina is presently available for free...it's a surprisingly cool game.

Just a heads up that 3 of the DLCs for Daemon X Machina are also free...

^You were the one who spelled out how the Epic client is crap compared to Steam not that long ago!  :nerd:

Yeah but free games!  It's a solid tradeoff IMO.  I never launch the stupid thing unless I'm playing something on the platform, so 99% of the time I don't even remember it's there.

It makes no difference what men think of war, said the judge.  War endures.  As well ask men what they think of stone.  War was always here.  Before man was, war waited for him.  The ultimate trade awaiting its ultimate practitioner.  That is the way it was and will be.  That way and not some other way.

If they made nothing but WWII games, I'd be perfectly content.  Hypothetical matchups from alternate history 1980s, asymmetrical US-bashes-some-3rd world guerillas, or minor wars between Upper Bumblescum and outer Kaboomistan hold no appeal for me.

I guess it's sort of nice that the word "tactical" seems to refer to some kind of seriousness during your moments of mental clarity.

There was also the hushed murmurs of the Chinese stealing all our info from the client from a few years back. I realize that they probably have all my (worthless) info anyway, but things like that stay with me.

I've had my identity stolen 2x in the past 4 or so years.

I'm at the point that it's out there and there ain't shit I can do about it and I imagine every couple of years someone's going to try again.
Insert witty comment here.

What's funny is them proudly proclaiming 917 games available on the Epic Store.  My current Epic library consists of 234 games for which I have not spent a cent.  I've even missed weeks and/or skipped things that were of no interest, and I still have over a quarter of their catalog.  25%+ of their catalog, for free.  Seems like a good business model...

They still managed to gross nearly $900,000,000, so yeah, I guess it is.

As long as there are fools throwing money at them for Fortnite and "exclusives", I'll pick up the free games.  What do you suppose that gross would have been had they not blown so much on giveaways?   Do you really think it would be less?

I have absolutely no idea what the purpose behind this is, but I really hope it doesn't rhyme with Mom's Spongible Oaken  :-\
