I saw the article title, "Ozzy Osbourne baffled by Swedish AA meeting," and I thought, "I'm sure that's not the ONLY thing he is baffled by."  So, I leave it to you my dear Grogheads, to enumerate the things that Oz is a bit bumfuzzled over.

It must have been a slow news day.  Ozzie ... baffled?? Noooooooooo

I meet him a few times back in the 1960's when I played drums in a band, so no great surprise.

Well, he was the singer with a local band in my home town, Birmingham, and I played drums with another band and we would sometimes be at the same gig. Plus I worked with, and a buddy of, the guy who played bass for him, and of course, they later became Black Sabbath. Like I said, this was way back in the 1960's so he was not famous in those days.

Last time I saw him was after Sabbath came back from their first tour of the U.S. I went to see them play and then went backstage, mainly to see my buddy, 'Geezer' Butler, the bass player. I think that was around 1970/71.

Jarhead - Yeah. You're probably right.

Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Banzai Cat - There is no "partial credit" in grammar. Like anal sex. It's either in, or it's not.

Mirth - We learned long ago that they key isn't to outrun Star, it's to outrun Gus.

Martok - I don't know if it's possible to have an "anti-boner"...but I now have one.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.

Yep - I could tell a few interesting stories, although some of 'em are maybe a bit 'risque' and some are funny.

I was, at one point, actually asked by 'Geezer (Terry) Butler if I wanted to try out as drummer for the band that actually became Sabbath, but I declined as I was just in the process of putting a blues band together. So Bill Ward got the job :-)

man your old....

But maybe one conversation away from been black Sabbaths   drummer

To be honest, I don't think I would have been able to stand the pace - too hectic a lifestyle for me. I really enjoyed playing drums, and I love my music, but I can see how a lot of people in the industry could get burned out. However, it was great fun at the time, and, now and again, I'd love to sit behind a drum kit again, something I aint done for more'n 35 years.

My wife and I were at that game.

Sharon Osborne also fell to the ground throwing out the first pitch.
