This is looking very interesting. Strategic commander simulator plus tactical battles on land/sea.

Wow, Radio Commander has really upped their game!

Hopefully without a radio-delivered plotline to go along with it this time. ;)
ICEBREAKER THESIS CHRONOLOGY! -- Victor Suvorov's Stalin Grand Strategy theory, in lots and lots of chronological order...
Dawn of Armageddon -- narrative AAR for Dawn of War: Soulstorm: Ultimate Apocalypse
Survive Harder! -- Two season narrative AAR, an Amazon Blood Bowl career.
PanzOrc Corpz Generals -- Fantasy Wars narrative AAR, half a combined campaign.
Khazâd du-bekâr! -- narrative dwarf AAR for LotR BfME2 RotWK campaign.
RobO Q Campaign Generator -- archived classic CMBB/CMAK tool!

I hope you are right.

I like the concept...but the execution was a little lack-luster last time (IMHO).

Check out Radio General, if you haven't already. Similar concept, but without all of the immersion breaking dialogue.

Did you know you can turn off the dialogue? (as well as enable other total realism settings?)

Main screen > options > gameplay > check the Skip Dialogue box.

Not the same (original) team. From what we've seen so far, to be published by Playway usually means you ain't going to keep your IP, even if you came with the goods to begin with...
New project has been assigned to a new small ad-hoc team. So far they are putting a lot of passion into it. Wishing them luck!

As for the original RC team, they are making a great looking, very stylish road movie :)

I'm at least 90% I do have Radio General, though I'm 100% sure I've never played it yet. (Like many other cool things that I keep buying more games on top of...  :buck2: )

Glad to hear RadioCom introduced the skip dialogue option! I shall be returning to it sometime I hope! I really liked what what was there. (And the storyline didn't bother me completely, it just seemed weird.)

1. That dialogue is what prevented me from buying the game. Just awful

2. Radio General was really well done. I enjoyed the hell out of it. Although you were moving Companies and Battalions, so not really a 'General'

3. Radio Commander Pacific: doesn't seem like you would be giving radio orders at that level. Weird scale to be using tactical radio communications. Tough to swallow for me.

JasonPratt

I expect RadComPac is meant to be giving radio orders at larger scales and then tracking incoming information reports on your map, physically, just like in the first RadCom at the platoon/squad scale.

I won't lie though, I share Apocalypse's skepticism of the mechanics being perhaps hard to adapt for the strategic and the whole island level combat (which would mean regimental or battalion level of action...). On the other hand, individual screens show that you can setup air raids, naval search, etc... too from the flag plot or CiC of a ship. That system would work pretty ok for tactical naval combat, air or surface both. At least that's my feeling, as somebody being busy at the same scale right now :)
