I know this might not be for everyone, but computer version coming next week (Oct. 6th)..have seen it mentioned in some places the board game being pretty good so hoping the computer version turns out the same.  But to be honest, I would probably buy most things based on Games of Thrones anyway:)  I guess we'll see...pre purchase price is $15.99.

Damn - I was hoping it was the tactical battles one.

I suppose they'll release the expansion as a future DLC.  Will probably pick this up, depending on how good the AI is.

If they made nothing but WWII games, I'd be perfectly content.  Hypothetical matchups from alternate history 1980s, asymmetrical US-bashes-some-3rd world guerillas, or minor wars between Upper Bumblescum and outer Kaboomistan hold no appeal for me.

I guess it's sort of nice that the word "tactical" seems to refer to some kind of seriousness during your moments of mental clarity.

I own the board game (never had anyone to play it with though).  It seems from the video on Steam that it captures the flavor of the board game.  I am interested to see how deep it is.

I played a friend's copy of the boardgame.  It seemed decent but he screwed up the rules pretty badly (he does that a lot) and it meant my faction (the boat guys.  Greyjoys or somesuch) were completely hamstrung because he forgot to tell me about their special ability.

I own the board game as well and enjoyed it a lot.  I've only played it solitaire as like you there is no one near me who'd want to play this game with me. 

I'm definitely interested in the digital version and may pick it up.  You can also get this game as a workshop mod on TTS for free.
