With Witcher3 on the way, Steam and GoG are both running ridiculously low sales on the first two games in case anyone is interested and hasn't gotten them yet.

Putting it another way, you could buy Age of Wonder: Shadow Magic (the AoW games are also on sale at GoG this weekend, along with the new Conquistador game although they aren't being entirely obvious about it yet for some buggy reason) for $6, or both Witcher games for not much more total.

When is Witcher 3 due? I enjoyed the first one but couldn't get past the tutorial in the second. Is it worth giving it another chance?

I had the same experience, enjoyed and even finished the first, but quit the 2nd a few hours past the tutorial.

The lastest DLC for Graviteam Tactics is off 50% at $3.50. It was released at $7.00.

Saw that, it seems all the modern stuff is on sale. Not really into the modern stuff. The maps are uninteresting to me, waiting for Shilovo 42.

Hey Rayfer IIRC I completed the tutorial and then something really bothered me about Witcher 2, can't remember what...I'm tempted to reinstall now. But I don't want to go through the tutorial again :/

i can't speak to Witcher2 at all because I got distracted by something and never got close to finishing 1. (I'm at an escort mission early in the game, which is hampered by the fact that I'm supposed to be lighting shrines to drive away undead dogs, or words to that effect.)

What I hear is that it was better than #1, but eh.

While Steam continues to bewilderingly not have a sale on WH40K things with the release of Space Hulk, the ultimate (probably) edition of Blood Bowl is for sale at 75%, US$7.50. Anyone with the slightest interest in humorous turn-based fantasy tactics, who hasn't picked it up yet, should strongly consider it.

Lots of Bioshock, Dead Island, and Sleeping Dogs material for sale this weekend at Gamersgate.

I didn't realize it, but the "ultimate" version of Dungeonbowl is also on sale for $7.50, all DLC included, for the next 24 hours or thereabouts (or half-off the full price of the base game which is not itself on sale!) I'm kind of considering that since GW won't let me buy Retribution on sale yet.  >:( (It's like a college version of Blood Bowl but the playing fields are dangerous dungeons.)

Forgot to mention that the Total War franchise is also on sale at Steam this weekend for 50% off everything, in case anyone hasn't picked up something there yet; no doubt this is preparation for Rome2. All the Gothic first-person adventure games are, too.

I have Blood Bowl on Steam, but have a love-hate relationship with it. My rolls are always terrible and the AI always manages to roll exactly what it needs to squeak out a win. I keep telling myself it's probably because I'm terrible at Blood Bowl, but the game's AI is amazingly anger-inspiring.

Don't know if you saw this Warhammer sale, all steam keys.

Two good old games from Matrix (that honestly ought to be permanently $20 each by now, as I recall Alexander being somewhat buggy on Win XP2).

No, I hadn't seen the sale at GGG, but it appears to be over now as all prices are back to regular Steam ($30 for Retribution, to give the most pertinent example, since that's the game I'm after). I appreciate the thought, though!

Meanwhile, Brutal Legend (a quirky sandbox RTS game, kind of like the Spellforce series, by the guys who made Grim Fandango) is on sale at Steam until noon tomorrow for $5; the crazy Rock of Ages strategy game is on sale for $2; the almost-as-crazy Sim-strategy Lords of Football has finally gone 50% to $12.50 (I may pick up this one, I've had my eye on it for a while); and the survival-strategy indie game Shelter will release midweek on its maiden 10% off sale at $9. I'm thinking of grabbing that for my nieces, as I am somewhat evil and I'd like to see their reactions to trying to keep a momma and cute baby badgers alive in a survival-game forest...  ;D

A lot of Dishonored material on sale at Gamersgate, along with a selection of the latest Lego games, (Harry Potter, Batman, LotR), plus all Magitech's games seem to be releasing on GG if they hadn't been already. (Indie competitors to the AAA-budget Total War games; a good time to run a sell on them before Rome 2 releases, and some people prefer the Magitech games. Certainly the only place to get what amounts to Three Kingdoms Total War, or a Rome Total War that spans to China. Well, without TW mods.)
