The news footage sort of makes it appear the drunk driver just plowed into a road block.  The dash cam footage shows how deliberately trooper Schuck drove her vehicle to make sure the idiot wouldn't get past her and into the runners.  She could see the speed of the oncoming vehicle.  That is bravery.
