Title: I'm FRIDAY with the pack
Post by: MetalDog on May 08, 2020, 06:20:08 AM

Happy Mother's Day to all the Groggy moms out there!

This weekend should be a steady diet of Magic the Gathering:Arena duels as I try and test some new deck designs.  Quite sure I will get some Civ IV mp, too.  Stay safe everyone!

Happy Mother's Day! Bad Company's solid.

Continuing with AssCreed: Odyssey, dabbling with Age of Empires: Definitive Edition, might start a Rome 2: Total War Empire Divided campaign, maybe a new Civ VI campaign, and continuing to hold off on downloading Epic to purchase Old World.

Not really sure what I'll end up doing.

Still playing a lot of Aurora and might do another video. Will probably try to get deeper into Old World and maybe fire up Star Citizen. I've also been flying around in ARMA III since I'm boycotting DCS over the status and lack of updates on the Super Carrier module. Just don't have the desire to play without it. Weird, I know.  :idiot2:

Happy Mother's Day to all the GH wives and moms.

Want to check out Aurora although much like Dwarf Fortress I think it might be over my head.

Still have my Oxygen Not Included game going. Currently my furthest growth, I've made it all the way down to oil.

Civ 6 continuing my Cleopatra game

Disgaea 5 on PS4 for my grinding pleasure

Probably will pull out Too Many Bones again for my solo tabletop goodness since I can pack up my home work desk for 2 days.

Happy Mother's day....

I would like to play the following games:

- Empire: Total War. I hope to finish the road to independance even though i couldn't win the battle at Bunker Hill....
- Maybe a battle of Fields of Glory (my first computer game with Master of Orion from 1993...still have the box with the manual etc.). It was released on GOG and Steam a couple of weeks ago. Couldn't resist. I've already done Nivelles, Quatre-Bras and Waterloo. Not sure if i should try Ligny or Wavre.
- Port Royal 3: still learning the game
- Hercule Poirot's ABC. Haven't played it last week.
- Astra Exodus: had a discount from Slitherine and bought it this last week. Big patch has just been put into the testing branch. Going to learn the game and see if it is really that bland....

On reserve: Polaris Sector (still haven't finished my main game) and Stellaris (have yet too meet an alien nation).

Still playing Aurora C# and back playing World of Tanks after a long layoff.  Got my 9 year anniversary goodies.   :)  Also got a badge or medal for 7500+ games.

Anguille do let us know what you think about Astra Exodus.  I recently removed it from my wishlist because it does look to be a bland game.

I'll probably play some Imperium Galactica II and Hereos & Generals.  I'm also expecting to get Dark Souls: Remastered for PS4 delivered to me tomorrow.  I'm preparing to cry and praise the sun simultaneously!

BoA2 is a  game that will always be on my HD. I really enjoy that game. On a side note, I have been to Francis Marion University many times. I think he would be honored to have a great school named after him.

Some continued Dominions 5 for me, along with a MP mirrored game of Ancient Britons vs Romans I got going on in Field of Glory 2.

I just got my Tortoise in World of Tanks all maxed out... still learning the curves with it.  For some reason I'm not quite as successful in it as much as my AT-15, but I imagine that should come with more experience in it.

I've been deep in a Dominions 5 binge myself, but I've started breaking it up with a little Old World.  Shockingly good game so far.

Keep at it airboy.  The ending was worth it imho.

I'm encountering aliens who can self-teleport.  My soldiers with 60%+ bravery are getting possessed.  This is getting very real.

More Total War: Shogun2 this weekend. I'd like to get past the Chosokabe Campaign Tutorial and get into the actual game. Loving the game so far. (well...so far as the tutorials. ::))
Also, will be playing more The Divison 2.

Have a Happy Mother's Day weekend, Grogs! Be good and safe.

Being off from my red-shirt retail job today, Ive been mostly  just playing Stellaris 2.6.3  - My Terran Federation found itself in a  unique position of being boxed in by three major races that didn't quite like us. Since we were hopeless outnumbered in Fleet Strength, I just decided to focus on my economy, colonies, and research.  Paid off. It's 2330(?)  A lot of empires have been shattered into smaller nameless entities- its a reported bug. What's happening is the bigger empires get broken by rebellion or whatever, and then you see these empires with no names, just "The." and worse they have no civics or ethics so its even harder to diplomatically deal with.  The Galactic Assembly and Market were both put into place before 2300, but the Terrans, with a few races decided they need to form a Federation. So they did. I get to see how the new Federation mechanics work.   But I have cruisers coming online, my planets are doing very well - except unemployment (UGH). But its fun watching the bigger empires tear each other to shreds.

There is a huge patch to drop on Tuesday (Wells) for Stellaris 4 year anniversary. So they expect to have that bug fixed.

Aside from that its been MST3k on Twitch- mostly watching that.

I go back tomorrow. but I'm off after Tuesday till Saturday.  :)

Seriously if you do go out, be smart and safe. Have a great Mother's Day weekend !

Just some more of my Stellaris (2.1.3) campaign.  Looking forward to the 2.7 ("Wells") update next week, especially with the re-work to edicts and space creatures.

Thrones of Britannia is on deck as well.  Slowly continuing my Gwined campaign to (re)establish the Kingdom of Wales!

Seconded.  I really wanted to like the game during the beta, but just could not get into it.

Man, I need to get back into Imperium Galactica II again one of these days.  It's an underappreciated gem; would love to see a proper sequel.

Sounds like a good time.  O0  Hoping I can finally experience something similar next week!

Yep.  From the most recent dev diary (which includes the 2.7 patch notes):

* Fix Empire without a name and civics created due to revolt.

Well, although I played better this week with Imperium Galactica II then I did when it first came out I still got my butt whooped.  This is a hard game even on 'normal' difficulty.  But it really is a gem.  I'd be happy with a modernizing of the UI and not touching anything else.  It's that good of a game.

Yeah, I ended up playing IG2 on the Easy difficulty setting last time I looked at it.  It's nice when the AI knows how to play the game.  O0

A visual upgrade and UI revamp would be great, but I would love bigger maps and more/improved factions as well.  (It's always hard for a game to feel "epic" with galaxies of less than 100 stars...)

Oh yeah the AI definitely knows how to play this game.

I agree with you on the larger galaxies and more/improved factions.

Same here...the game badly needs a sequel...the android edition is very handy when i am in the train.
