Just bought this...long on my wishlist and out today....
Looks a nice updated Fallout vibe going on. Adult writing. Not terribly PC.
Seems right up my alley.
Any other fans ?
Two of my favorite concepts in one package? 'Fallout' and 'non-PC'...I will send you the receipt!

I will set it off against the other 50 or so purchases you and the rest of the motley crew here have been directly responsible for ;)
Hmm I'll have to do the math(s)...
you can do maths?
I do miss the isometric Fallout games.
No! Can you?
I also miss the isometric games. Loved Fallout 3, though.
So a few hours in and I am really enjoying this one. It has more than a passing acquaintance with Underrail except not underground (so far at least) . The different wings that work in the Dome (security, management, technicians, convicts and scientists.), all react very distinctively towards my character who is a technician with high small arms ability. In the training session the security trainer even expressed surprise at my proficiency on the shooting gallery :).
Conversations display endemic cynicism towards the Cronos Corporation that run the Dome amongst a lot of the employees that work and live there....(Its a Hotel California existence...once in , attracted by glossy advertising employees are unable to leave).
The UI is very clear , much moreso than Underrail, and the looming threat to everyone from increasing radiation storms and unpredictable anomalies gives a real air of menace. Too early to say definite buy yet to anyone on the fence but so far so very good.
PS ..runs like a dream, loads very quickly and so far no bugs and Steam shows about 86% positive recent reviews for what it's worth.
Thanks - any idea how long the main game lasts? is the game world open?
Haven't got far enough to see how open it is but certainly doesn't feel railroaded so far.
Apparently a single playthrough should be 40 to 60 hours but at the rate I get through RPG's it is likely to be double that :)
There is definitely a lot of replayability I would say as it is possible to play it in a wide variety of playsyles including stealth, pacifist, or homicidal maniac.
What is evident though is that INT is not a safe dump stat in character creation as some players have tried with INT stats or 1 or 2 (out of 10) and found that because their characters are such numbskulls whole conversation options are removed as other characters consider them unworthy of passing the time of day with :DD

It seems the first few sections are linear but it then goes completely open world :bd:
Thanks man
