the game would simulate the forum wars, called Angry Nerds.it would be located in the paradox forum world. a later rather expensive dlc would include the Battlefront forums.
there would be stacks of complaining customers and you have to try to make them go away by abstract supply rules, incorrect shorelines, doubtful city placements and abstracted supply rules.

I think you should also include abstract supply rules.
And perhaps some 'Bitter old wargamer' DLC including nothing but endless complaints that "It all needs NATO icons! Anything but that is crap!"
No Steam. Even if it's a boardgame it must be certified as "Steam Free!"
Ha!
This is not as farfetched as you may think.
Was helping to set up a table at one of the Origins Conventions held outside of Baltimore at Timonium College, oh about 1985. Lots of gamers were in costume as yankees/rebs/, Startroopers/republican starfighters, Napoleonic grenadiers, Nazi stormtroopers.
A very shell shocked fellow came over to me. As a fairly normal looking individual, he apparently thought I was above the unwashed masses.
It turned out he was a professor at the school and had one question, "Who are all these ugly people, and what are they doing at my school?"
Might be a great line for any innocent bystanders.
