Cyrano

Oooh, I am going to regret asking this:

Jomni:  Which Tiller titles are crap and why?

Best,

You didn't know? My Corps has already sailed to Berlin. We got there 3 days ago and we've been in the Tiergarten on the piss ever since. -- Marshal Soult, October 1806

Early Squad Battles... I especially don't like Eagle Strike and the Vietnam titles (but not Dien Bien Phu). The theme is great and all but there's some weird scenario balance, you can win by doing nothing.

The later titles like Red Victory is great.  First World War too.  Falklands is also good balance (UK and Argentina have the same weapons and the terrain has little cover).
Modern Wars is iffy... hit or miss.  It doesn't model modern tanks well but infantry is ok.

What I was looking for was specifically a WW2 game that would be a challenge both in learning and playing (I already have War in the Pacific - and that's TOO much scale). I think I've played every WW2 strategic game out there and was looking for a new challenge.

Schwerpunkt's WWII Europe is apparently coming out soon.
