Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII info trawl?

I've been taking baby steps into RoTK13 over the holidays (on a PS4), I wondered if the established and seasoned RoTK13 players here have any guides, lets plays worth soaking up to get me up to speed on the game.

As a treat to myself, I bought the additional Strategy and Fame DLC pack, but I'm sort of being overwhelmed a little.. I started the Yellow Turban Rebellion scenario as Guan Yu and was bowled over by the amount of stuff that flew my way, so I started as a lowly rank 9 officer, only had a unit or two on the battlefield and marvelled at Sun Jian's battle AI idiocy (splitting forces, attack gates then retreating, Sun Jian's unit retreating back to initial camp and never moving again), while Yellow Turban reinforcements crashed into my two units again and again and again *shudder*.

Anyway, would really appreciate any pointers to get myself up to speed with the game.
