I've recently found some more information about my great uncle whose plane was lost in the pacific in WWII. Don't think my grandmother (or her siblings) talked about it much when I was younger at least as much as I remember. He was the favorite and "baby" of the family so I am sure that made his loss that much worse. I'm not even sure how much my great grandparents really knew about his loss as nothing was really passed down verbally. From what I understand, all the information they ever had was the generic "we regret to inform you" type of hand delivered telegram. It took me about 2 years of off and on research to find anything significant.

I'll start a separate thread once I get more notes and information put together.
