Got a few kits for someone who hasn't touched a model since 2004, most are not opened. Some aftermarket crap to go with them too. Every summer, my wife who is a teacher will say "How about we sell this stuff on ebay?" I always think in the back of my mind I will take it up again some day.

lol, you like your bi-planes!.. Is it no available anymore? Did Accurate Miniatures go out of business?
that is how great sci-fi kit bashes are born!
oh my god!!!!!!!!!
That makes me so sad to see all that plastic sitting there without their ambitions being met - to be a "thing" again!
So many Dragon kits too. The shit I buy and my wife still whinges at me about the amount - and I've got maybe 20!
I think you should choose a kit and make it before Christmas. Do it. DO IT! DO IT!

I don't remember what it was, I think dual action iwata? that name might be totally off. I had their single action and really liked it, figured it would be time to upgrade. Then I fell away from the hobby. PC gaming was too much of an easy fix!

Man - whilst I love PC gaming, modelling is extremely relaxing...very therapeutic.
I guess, but painting phase used to be stressful at times. That's why I leaned forwards Armor, didn't have to be perfect, and you could cover your mistakes During weathering phase. I think one thing that might have drawn me to stop was working on crappy kits. Maybe I should've stuck with the Dragon, Tamiya, AFV Club stuff.
Sell us all your models and you will have no stress. O0

How much pieces in that Pampers kit ?
Should I have posted some pics of my wife's scrapbooking crap? Many modelers have a lot more. Good thing I quit!
88 pieces in the Pampers Kit. Funny thing is, my youngest son is 18, so that kit is real old!!!
must......stop....looking
this is like looking at p0rn
Putting together models leaves you in the same state as pr0n - your hands sticky, your head dizzy, and you find stains in places weeks later that are a mystery!
You need to clean up after yourself better.

pr0n, or model assembly? or assembling pr0n models?
^ :-"
lol
I would definitely take some from you if - and only if - I knew it would relieve you of some stress :2funny:
If Tuna is selling, I'll stand in line (behind quite a few it looks like) :D
I was wayyyy off on my airbrush name, just went down and looked, it's a Paache..
No, I'm not selling, like I said, hoping to get back into it some day... Maybe when I retire if I make it that far.. only thing is, might be blind then.. lol. then I'll sell!
If you sold all those models, you could afford to retire!
or I could get a new acoustic guitar, or upgrade my PC!
did zzzzomevun zay "stache"?
Have fun with those builds Tuna and keep us posted on your builds! O0
Take my challenge Tuna - make one. Go on. Forget the painting - get one made. You can always paint after like I did with the Sherman - if you really feel the need to paint. Make one and remember how therapeutic it is O0

They were trying a new "Chipping" technique!
Hiding 'em in the sand may work for AKs.
But MiG-25s... not so much.
The choices were: bury them in the sand, fly them to Iran, watch them get blowed up.
I've always been curious about the 'fly 'em to Iran' thing. What was the Iraqi AF trying to accomplish? It's not like the Iranians were ever going to give the planes back or anything.
Or could those have been Shia pilots pulling a Belenko? I'm guessing there were probably not a lot of them in the Iraqi AF back then.
It doesn't seem like many smart decisions were beimg made in Iraq back then. Or ever.
Nice Belenko reference, btw
Thanks. I was just entering High School when Viktor made his sushi run so it was kind of a big deal back then.

Maybe they just wanted to get out of dodge? Or are you specifically wondering why Iran and not another country? There was only really Syria and Joradan...anywhere else and they'd have probably been at high risk of being shot down. I imagine the Iranian direction was perhaps the least dangerous?
