I wasn't impressed with Amazon's video streaming service when I tried it a couple years ago. Netflix is much better and the entertainment my kids get out of it more than justifies the expense. If I were the only one using it, I'd probably drop it. I can watch pretty much whatever I want online without a subscription service.

Hulu is going to offer a commercial-free service for $12/mo

Umm....

I currently don't see commercials on Netflix or Amazon Prime.   And they're both cheaper.

WTF?

DoctorQuest

If they are talking about Hulu Plus (they don't say) I think they tend to get recent episodes of shows sooner than Netflix. If I could pay $12 a month for those without commercials I might look into it. I guess I need to get more details.

For starters, this newest tier of Hulu's service still isn't completely ad-free

Games like that are enough to ensure that I will not subscribe. If I'm paying for the service, I don't want to see ads, ever.

Amazon is inferior to Netflix and Hulu, imho, and should be cheaper. I'm not sure how much cheaper Netflix really is than Hulu. The basic streaming package is $7.99, but that is SD and one screen at a time. Netflix's HD, 4 screen package is already $11.99. And you can probably expect price increases from Netflix in the near future.

Netflix is already experimenting with advertisements for its own shows
