The wife and I saw this one over the weekend and we both liked it a lot. Not the greatest Speilberg film ever but a very good period piece that probably most people younger than 30 won't have a clue about. Hanks does his usual excellent job of being a likeable Anything-He-Plays part but the real star was the guy playing the Russian spy who I do not know---great job. Not much action but a good deal of suspense, probably over played by Speilberg. I wish there was more about Gary Powers in the film though and his ordeal in Russian hands. Over all I'd go a solid 8 out of 10.
"Take a look at that". Sgt. Wilkerson-- CMBN. His last words after spotting a German tank on the other side of a hedgerow.

I read a good book about the pilot that defected to the West with a MIG-25 along time ago and he seemed to be treated better than Gary Powers upon his return. Unfortunately, I've never been able to find a book or movie that has really done a good job of explaining the whole Gary Powers ordeal.  :-[
