An interesting picture which looks to me like the set from a cheesy sci-fi flick...but not. Any guesses?

It looks a little different from some of the pix of 'the gadget' but the tower looks similar. Maybe a later test?

Has anyone visited the site? I wonder if you can get close enough to ground zero to see where the sand was turned to glass.
