That is a one hour drive from my home.

It was a cocaine 'laundry', where products that were impregnated with cocaine were chemically processed to recover the cocaine. The products would be textiles, shampoo, sauces, anything. The cocaine itself was produced in Colombia, and this 'laundry' worked for the European market. Because, evidently this was the end of a smuggling route, operated by Colombians with some Dutch and Turkish henchmen.
