I never really watched Sci-Fi/SyFy's own decidedly B-quality shows until the past year.  But there are some new ones this season that I've been steadily keeping up with.  Those being Dark Matter and [/i]Killjoys[/i].

Despite some of the overused plot points, they've been fairly entertaining in the realm of B-quality space sci-fi.

If I picked a favorite of the two, it would be Dark Matter since it's anti-hero bent and mystery character back stories are more my preference.  Despite the initial eyebrow raising at Dark Matter's characters all starting off with amnesia ("this plot again?"), there was a notable foreshadowing clue in one episode that would make the future explanation more interesting in a very sci-fi way.

They both consist of a group of people flying about on a spaceship & having encounters.  One group mercenary criminals, the other bounty hunters.   Not the highest quality programming out there, but if you like space-based sci-fi then you may want to give them a shot (Fridays back-to-back IIRC).

Oh Lord, Nefaro. Stay strong, there has to be better Science Fiction on TV eventually.  :P

I enjoy a good "B" scifi or fantasy flick.

I miss Eureka and Warehouse 13. Those were guilty pleasures.

I enjoy a good "F" sci fi flick, assuming I have beer and they're 'funny bad'.

Not familiar with Eureka, but I did watch a couple seasons of Warehouse 13.  These new syfy series are often less cheesy than WH13 was, so they're probably better than I made them sound in my post.

One of these days I need to get some beer and watch Plan 9 from Outer Space.

Falling Skies on TNT is going into its final season, right? (It comes on after The Last Ship.) That thing has been on for a long time, and I've never once gotten into it. Has anyone watched it enough to have an opinion on it? Dad and I are thinking of starting it...

Over the past few years, SyFy shows have been a gold mine for Wil Wheaton. Seems like he gets parts in most of them. The SyFy execs must feel bad about canning his talk show :P

Out of the two, I'd go with Battlefield Earth. That is some grade A hilarious crap! The perfect movie to mock with friends while you enjoy some beers.

So I PVR'd both of these series and have been binge watching them. Just caught up to the current episode of Dark Matter and am only about 3 episodes into Killjoys.
I'm also liking Dark Matter more as they seem to be developing the characters back stories more within the storyline as apposed to along side the episodic stories.
Oh and the main chick in DM is way hotter....  ^-^
