ask the guys that have seen me at a game convention - I don't need coffee to get going; I run on Diet Dr Pepper.  But I also can stand the taste of coffee.

I don't drink or like coffee either......  O0

I don't get it.  Why not WANT an iMac?  That looks like about a 16" screen at best and a weird shape to boot.

It's an homage piece to the original MacIntosh:

Well that makes sense now.  Speaking of mac.  I had to go with the mother in law to buy a new MacBook pro yesterday.  Now I get to spend the day transferring photos from the old Dell to the new Mac.

I'm negotiating to purchase a 1978 Bally Paragon pinball machine.

Bought the 1978 Bally Paragon machine.  If grogs visit Alabama and bring beer, they can play.

Pictures attached.

Is sweet tea more popular than coffee down south over there?  I remember I drank a lot of it when I was in Jacksonville

I live in Alabama and travel/work extensively in the entire Southeast.
Sweet Tea is almost never drunk at breakfast.  Not saying it does not happen, but coffee/water/cola drinks are the norm for breakfast.  People in the SE drink less coffee for lunch/supper than in the NE and West Coast.  That is the time that many drink sweet tea.

Myself, the "sweet tea" my Mom made had almost no sugar - and went totally sugar free when I was 19 and started the hypoglycemia & eventual diabetes.  I'm unusual for the South because I won't drink regular soft drinks (Coke/Pepsi) or sweet tea.  It is coffee, and diet coke for me.

Brant lives in a bit less powerful "sweet tea" region.  Back in the early 1980s the only sugar free drink you could get at most restaurants was black coffee or water.  "Fresca" and "Tab" were both vile and not widely distributed in restaurants.  You were more likely to find unsweetened tea back then than you were nonsugared soft drinks.  Today, unsweet ice tea is almost as readily available in restaurants in the South as coffee.  The last 30 years have had a remarkable change in the beverage menus at restaurants in the South.

But I order coffee from a plantation in Guatemala and have it shipped to my home - 6 bags at a time.

Bison

I was down in Brant's area a few years ago and ordered an unsweet iced tea.  The waitress was dismayed and confused.  She brought the tea, but also a sugar bowl and spoon just in case I made a mistake when ordering.  I despise sweet tea.

LongBlade

It is standard to serve tea sweetened in the South.

That doesn't mean coffee isn't popular, but when you order tea in the South, expect it to have sugar. Anywhere else, you'll have to ask for it, or ask for sugar, depending on whether they serve both unsweetened and sweetened or just unsweetened.

That would explain the completely pointless "disk" drive slot in the front: there doesn't seem to be any way possible to put a DVD or any other disk in that.

What you see in the picture is something done by a third party, possibly in Germany, and built using Macbook Air parts with a custom made enclosure. AFAIK you cannot buy it yet.

I'm another guy who's never been able to get into coffee.  I still guzzle Mountain Dew like I'm 18.  :-[
