If you're considering everyone in the family and what they can get out of it then you'll most likely be happy with the Bone. 

If you're going to buy the system for yourself get the PS4.  It's the better gaming console.

Well here is another thing to consider. I just played Halo 5 on my PC by streaming it from my xbone. VERY cool!

Jarhead, I've got my PC to connect to my Xbox, but do I need an Xbox controller attached to my PC to play games.

I'm pretty sure you do. Don't think you can play with a keyboard and mouse.

The wife and the daughters spent 45 minutes playing the Super Mario Maker and Mario Cart demo at BestBuy this evening.  Seriously I went there to pick up a PS4 Uncharted Bundle, although the CoD Black Ops Bundle is tempting, with a follow up trip to Gamestop to pick some more kid friendly fare.  So once again my best plans were laid to waste.  No console was purchased today.
