Title: Installation program not recognized by Windows Defender
Post by: Mickey3D on August 21, 2018, 03:18:35 PM
When executing the installer (GSBPArmyEditorSetup64.msi), I get a warning from Windows Defender. It is not blocking and I can continue the install process but before releasing the game for sale it might be good to have a certificate to avoid this kind of message.

I think there is a problem with the file attached to my first post.

Here it is again.

Just reading this now:
QuoteThis is just an interim installer because our distribution method will be steam

So it will not be a problem if distributed by Steam: forget my remark.

Yep.
Any work on an installer is throw away work.
This is purely for beta testing purposes.

Steam uses file copy to install.
I don't know how they handle things like installing fonts, but I expect there's something in there somewhere.
Or I'll write something.
