Kind of like 1830 Railroads & Robber Barons? Where's Mark Shot?

Yes and no. It's actually the same geographic area and has a lot of the same RR companies. In both you're trying to accrue the highest net worth, but the means of doing so are a lot different.

Mark was, last we talked, living in Taiwan. I hope all is going well for him there.

B&M somehow continues to increase profits, not that it matters in any way.

C&O is next.

binkman

C&O ran just enough ti bump up its profits, paid out measly dividends to bump up its share price. Time for Mike to run the Illinois central.

IC(ky) built and ran to Indy, paid out $6 / share.

PRR/Chris up next.

PRR dumped a 2-train, bought the first 5 train, and built into New York City.

Ran:
Chicago $90
Ft. Wayne $40
Detroit $80
Cleveland $60
Wheeling $50
Pittsburgh $70
Harrisburg $20
Philly $50
Baltimore $40
New York $70
Coal $40
Maintenance -$150

Net $460

Dividends of $368 for me, $92 for Rex.

Rex is up next to run the NH and then NYC.

binkman

Assuming my math is correct, the present net worth scoreboard looks like this:

James $1595
Mike $1545
l'amour $1254
Me $1091
Rex $763

l'amour

I think those numbers are still a bit close to be calling out winners, now that serious money is being generated.

Having said that, I am sure I will end up in the bottom 2.

NH ran the same Boston/NY route and earned $70.

NYC ran:
Chicago (90) +
Detroit (80) +
Pittsburgh (70) +
NY (70) +
Cleveland (60) +
Indy (50) +
Wheeling (50) +
Buffalo (50)
---------------
= $520

less $100 maintenance = $420

It withheld the dividend.
