Well new Wii will come out by the end of the year.  New X-Box and PS4 next year.  We'll know if it's dead.

But since Casual gaming for the masses is so important.... the casual gamers moved from the console to the mobile phone platform.
Console will once again become a hardcore gaming platform like the PC.  But the PC will always have better specs.
So the console is in a tricky situation.
