B17: GROG WAGON (B-17 Community AAR)

November 1942

Beginning a career with B-17 Queen of the skies and the Grogs have been assigned to the Grog Wagon.  It is time to assemble the crew and see if we can last all of our 25 mission career.  Below are the available crew positions so let me know if you would like to be apart of the crew and which position you would like to take.

As we progress through the campaign I will update the nose of the A/C to reflect our accomplishments (starting in another post).

Pilot: Capt. PanzersEast
Co Pilot: Lieut. Jason Pratt

Bombardier: Lieut. Banzai_Cat
Navigator: Lieut. Windigo
Engineer: Mst. Sgt. Staggerwing
Radio Operator: Sgt. mirth

Ball Turret: Sgt. Arctic Blast
Port Waist Gunner: Sgt. bob48
Starboard Waist Gunner: Sgt. undercovergeek
Tail Gunner: Sgt. Barthheart

Once we fill most of the positions we will be off to our first mission.

My (late) Grand-uncle John Reed said he was the youngest B-17 pilot in the war (lied about his age when taking the pilot's test), flying "Slightly Dangerous" on... one and a half tours? Something like that.

I'd be glad to be listed as the co-pilot, but I have no idea what's expected for the campaign. :) (Do we discuss things for decisions during the turn, etc.)
ICEBREAKER THESIS CHRONOLOGY! -- Victor Suvorov's Stalin Grand Strategy theory, in lots and lots of chronological order...
Dawn of Armageddon -- narrative AAR for Dawn of War: Soulstorm: Ultimate Apocalypse
Survive Harder! -- Two season narrative AAR, an Amazon Blood Bowl career.
PanzOrc Corpz Generals -- Fantasy Wars narrative AAR, half a combined campaign.
Khazâd du-bekâr! -- narrative dwarf AAR for LotR BfME2 RotWK campaign.
RobO Q Campaign Generator -- archived classic CMBB/CMAK tool!

My grandfather was a tailguuner in a Lancaster at the end of the war so I could take that spot.
And my wife's uncle was a navigator in a pathfinder Lancaster so that could work too.

Windigo

I like to tell people where to go...Navigator please
My doctor wrote me a prescription for daily sex.

My wife insists that it says dyslexia but what does she know.

Windigo

I am merely suggesting that Biggs could be the engineer... or W8aminute

BTW how the hell could a navigator rank above an engineer????

I'll go as a waist gunner - either side will do.

May try a couple of things, initially I will just run the mission then maybe come up with a couple of ways to be more interactive.

@Barthheart
I plan to run a Lancaster Campaign Next.....
