As far as combining humor with a quality comic book adaptation, the first Reeve Superman film set the bar 35 years ago. That was/is a truly excellent movie. Marvel/Disney has done a much better job of capturing that tone and feel in the current era than any of the other studios.

I thought the second Christian Bale flick, with Ledger as the Joker, was outstanding.  The way he plays the Joker is excellent - not as the psychotic nut job, but as the devious planner who is always thinking waaaay ahead of everyone else.

Complete agreement.

I think Gus would make an excellent Batman.  he has the needed inner angst to pull it off.
Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Banzai Cat - There is no "partial credit" in grammar. Like anal sex. It's either in, or it's not.

Mirth - We learned long ago that they key isn't to outrun Star, it's to outrun Gus.

Martok - I don't know if it's possible to have an "anti-boner"...but I now have one.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.

If it's inner angst that's needed, I'm Batman.

I have the angst of an orphan from rural Maine whose most successful relationship to date was with a woman who turned out to be a lesbian.

And my vote for Joker would be Starfury. No contest.

That leaves, among others, which Grog most closely approximates the Penguin.

I was actually thinking of Gus as more in the Robin role to Jarhead's Batman. Being Old School, I also prefer the Julie Newmar version of Catwoman. Unless all that stuffed into that leather suit was just padding. Or furr. :2funny:

Batman is Anti-Guns (most of the time), so he's definitely not a role for JH.
Marvel's Punisher is probably a better choice.

For the sake of fun and my big nose, I'll take  Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot. Aka The Penguin.
