Looking for scale recommendations for miniatures
« on: April 25, 2016, 12:58:07 PM »

So, I'm wanting to collect and paint some mini's (world war 2 tanks) for display only. Not a mini's gamer so they need to look nice. Not sure I want plastic and thinking I prefer metal or resin kits (I think they'd give the model a more real or rugged look instead of clean, crisp lines...if that makes sense).

I don't have a store nearby to go look at scales but I do know that 1/35th and larger is out. Too expensive and too figidity for my tastes. I want them to have nice detail, but not take 2 months to make with a $60 price tag.

Thinking 15-20mm?

Any suggestions as to scale and makers?

Getting a display case built for this. Wanting to hold 30 or so tanks. Display case won't be much bigger than 1' deep, 3-4' tall with a couple shelves.
