Emperors Own - RPG Kingdom Come Deliverance Napoleonic game free demo

Emperors Own seems to be an RPG game about a Russian secret agent in the Russian Napoleonic Army. It also seems to have been a failed kickstarter that the devs say is still going full steam ahead. It seems they are only considering horse back charging and things like that... so that really worries me right away. Bayonet play is being worked on apparently. I get the feeling the game will take forever to be a fully featured game close to what kingdom come has. :( They did however use the voice actor from kingdom come. Dimitri = Henry from KCD

But why is this set in an alternate universe? Why not just Russia? Is it because of the Russian Royal Family being a sensitive topic still? Are the developers Russian? Are these the same devs as Kingdom Come Deliverance? I don't know how I feel about this game.
