Just tried downloading the free version and the update. Once it starts it just crashes for me.

I don't think the free versions require the update patches.
I went and bought the extended version and am now playing it u der Windows 11 arm64 under Parallels under Mac OS ;D Works perfectly. The resolution of 1600x1200 is a bit weirdish feeling though.
