Oh, as for what I'm playing...

Worlds of Magic
Shroud of the Avatar
(I don't have the foggiest notion of what I'm doing in this game - which is actually a nice feeling in an MMO :) )
Euro Truck Simulator 2 (recently rediscovered)
The Talos Principle - a very, very good game but fucking infuriating!  I swear this puzzle I'm stuck on is impossible...

mikeck

IL-2 1946
CMANO
Maybe some Pillars of Eternity. Rare that I stick with an RPG this long

Arctic Blast

Just got back to town from most of a week away, so I plan to have a nap.  :)

After that, not sure. It's a long weekend, so I should play something!

Tis-100

How are you finding it?  I think it could be a real gem if I could only be bothered to learn how to play it.  I think I'm going to need to take drastic action - playing it in windowed mode with the manual PDF open next to it!  :o

I really like the idea of the game (as with Infinifactory and Spacechem), without beeing good at it.

I followed the advice on the Steam forums and printed the manual.

Played Worlds of Magic for maybe 10 hours, though I'm done for the weekend (busy until bedtime).

I can see why people say the UI still needs polishing; but I've liked it so far. The tutorial has a fatal bug in the second mission, but then I just generated a main campaign: it's a MoM design with some refinements, so no problem.

The maps are GODLY HUGE! (If you want them to be.) And you can have seven planes worth of them, each ginormously huge. And up to 12 opponents. I'm playing the dwarves (with a hideous purple color scheme that I'm sure I didn't choose), starting in the Earth plane, which has its own unique look to its features, and after 10 hours I've barely scoped out half my starting island (though I got started on that late, and tested how likely the "island" map generation codes would create wraparound islands at the map edges. So far, lots of open quicksand down there, which is the Earth Plane version of ocean.)
ICEBREAKER THESIS CHRONOLOGY! -- Victor Suvorov's Stalin Grand Strategy theory, in lots and lots of chronological order...
Dawn of Armageddon -- narrative AAR for Dawn of War: Soulstorm: Ultimate Apocalypse
Survive Harder! -- Two season narrative AAR, an Amazon Blood Bowl career.
PanzOrc Corpz Generals -- Fantasy Wars narrative AAR, half a combined campaign.
Khazâd du-bekâr! -- narrative dwarf AAR for LotR BfME2 RotWK campaign.
RobO Q Campaign Generator -- archived classic CMBB/CMAK tool!

You didn't, you just chose the colour of your banner.  Yeah the maps can be insanely huge if you want them to be - I'm sure some weirdo out there is currently ploughing through a gigantic size map with all seven planes activated, if they even have enough RAM in their PC for that.  My latest game I started on the air plane and I'm on a pretty small island with no hope of "sailing" any time soon; I think I might restart...

Spent the weekend on marathon sessions of Custer's Revenge and General Retreat.

Sort of sore after all of that.   Good times though.

Hey now, I represent that remark!  :P :2funny:

Have fun JD!

All my gaming this weekend assumes my upgrade to Windows 10 this afternoon goes well.

I have a ton of Command scenario work to do. Need to do the scripting for my Iran Strike, 2015 and the submarine scenario I released as a beta a few weeks ago. Then there are the 1,000 other scenario ideas that I'm constantly thinking about...

Going to continue my current Crusader Kings 2 game as Duke Hapsburg of Upper Burgundy. I was finally able to change the succession laws away from elective to where my youngest son will inherit. I didn't have the crown authority to change it to the eldest but either way it means that my hold on the Duchy is secure for the moment.

I think the love/makes me absolutely furious relationship with World of Warships will probably continue. No matter how pissed off it makes me sometimes something about it just keeps dragging me back. Working my way up the Japanese cruiser line, just hit tier 5. It has 200mm guns but other then that its not a very good ship. I'll probably be converting a lot of my free experience to buy my way past the ship rather then suffering through.

I guess I will be upgrading too.  And playing some CMANO.  PLUS WingLeader boardgame, Train simulator and maybe some DCS world and Attila.

And that is more or less what happened, except that I forgot to upgrade to Windows 10.  Also Wing Leader was pretty interesting.  L. Brimmcome-Wood seems to think that the "Big Wing/Duxford wing" of Battle of Britain fame was a crucial invention of the RAF despite the evidence of all his games.  For example in his Penny packets scenario, the RAF fighters are supposed to have trouble getting through to the bombers.  However -- despite the rather large and unusually coordinated 109 presence -- the Hurricanes either broke up the 109s or pulled them into dogfights and now the Spitfires are about to take a massive head-on run into the Heinkels.  It only takes a couple of lucky rolls to strip off the escorts and the scenario has a 109 sweep perfectly coordinated with a raid (not a common occurrence).  So the game is good enough to show the Wing in its title is not the cure-all for intercepting bombers that the designer suggests (possibly just to make the scenarios sound more Luftwaffe-friendly?).

My windows 10 upgrade went well. I have everything back up and running with no major issues.

Had a big family event that cut into my gaming time Saturday, but I got in at least some time in on Command, CK2, and World of Warships. Would have loved to have gotten my Iran Strike scenario finished but I still have 3-4 things on my to do list.
PanzersEast: Have to think to myself.... will I play the first one by the Winter Sale?  Probably not, then I should remove Dragonfall

It has been rimworld all the way, of course there would have been more rimworld for me but once my daughter found out she could name everyone for her school friends, i didnt see the game again until she went to bed each day

I finished almost every quest in Fallout New Vegas.

I bought Age of Wonders 3 and have been getting up to speed on it.  But it has NO PRINTED MANUAL!  Not even in pdf.  That stinks.

MetalDog

Everything has been pretty standard for that type of game, Airboy.  AoW III, that is.

The in-game encyclopedia has descriptions of most everything.
