It's quite fun. I think they have some of the Age of Empires programmers on their team. I first saw it browsing in ebay - some cheeky devil had put it on disk and was trying to sell it for about £5 - I checked it out and found it was freeware! :o Like others have said, it's a work in progress - sort of Age of Empires Total realism mod. :)

In the website's notes the developers mention that there was no 0 AD and they use it as a "selling point" for potential players to make 0 AD their own moment in the sun.
