Hellow fellow wargamers!  :) I've made a gameplay video showing in depth how to play the game in one small but exciting historical scenario - Operation Battleaxe. I hope you'll find the game interesting and to your liking ;)

Attack at Dawn: North Africa is an operational level wargame set in WW2 North African theatre. It features 3 campaigns, and 15 scenarios which can be played in solo or multiplayer modes. It can be played as a real-time, or turn-based (WeGo) game. The game begins with the German troops probing into the Libyan region of Cyrenaica, and finishes either with the total defeat of German-Italian Panzer Armee, or with the British loss of Egypt and their retreat across the Suez Canal.

The scenario shown in this gameplay video is Operation Battleaxe. It was an allied offensive that took place between 15 and 17 June 1941, during WW2 North African campaign. The goal of the operation was to raise the axis siege of Tobruk, and link with the besieged 9th Australian Division. The operation lasted for 3 days and ended with an Axis victory.

If you like the game - wishlist it on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1383640/Attack_at_Dawn_North_Africa/

Couldnt really tell from the video as didnt have much time to watch - what kind of game is this - more panzer general or HPS Panzer battles....am thinking of level of fidelity of realism.
"you are the rule maker, the dictator, the mini- Stalin, Mao, Hitler, the emperor, generalissimo, the MAN. You may talk the talk and appear to be quite easy going to foster popularity, but to the MAN I say F*CK YOU." And Steve G is F******g rude ? Just another day on the BF forum ... one demented idiots reaction to BF disagreeing about the thickness of the armour on a Tiger II turret mantlet.

@Zulu1966 > I would say neither. It's more of a tabletop hex-and-counter (like DAK II) with mechanics you find in Sid Meier's Gettysburg, Combat Mission, or even Harpoon. It's hard to explain, since I have been working on this for more than a decade, trying to find what works best for an operational-level game. I have also tried to be as close to the actual orders of battle as possible, because it (at least for me) gives a game more authenticity.

Take a look when you have some free time. I'll be loitering here if you have some questions for me O0

Toonces - Don't ask me, I just close my eyes and take it.

Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Banzai Cat - There is no "partial credit" in grammar. Like anal sex. It's either in, or it's not.

Mirth - We learned long ago that they key isn't to outrun Star, it's to outrun Gus.

Martok - I don't know if it's possible to have an "anti-boner"...but I now have one.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.

Does it have any WEGO elements?

Yes! You can choose how to play it - as Real-Time or We-Go. You can change it during the game, to suit your needs. Also, Real-Time mode can be played very slow (x4) or very fast (x128).

I tried to make it configurable to players' preferences. Also, you can choose if you want to use 3D models or unit counters to represent units in the game.
