Wild Bill Wilder

I just wanted to drop in and say hello to fellow wargamers. I am sure after 10 years of absence, few may know or remember me. I worked for over 10 years with Matrix (SPWAW and others), SSI, Battlefront, Talonsoft, Pegasus, and HP (Tiller) designing some 1200 scenarios and campaigns plus leading on various occasions in playtesting and design. It was a glorious experience but now it is your turn. Enjoy gaming! The pleasures of life are becoming less and less even with all the advances so live to fight...and WIN!

Wild Bill Wilder (The lovely lady is my sweet wife Robin, who supports my gaming efforts 100% In fact she encourages it!).

Whoa! Hey, Wild Bill! I worked with Matrix, too, in the mid-2000s. Welcome back to the fold.

Awesome! Welcome, Bill. I dread to think how many hours I spent playing the old SP games. Brings back happy memories.

Sir Slash

Some days it's just great to be a Wargamer, like today. Getting to share to same post-space as Col. Wild Bill, a true pioneer and legend in Wargaming. If the Col. is going to be checking-out my posts, then I had better straighten them up. I wouldn't want the Colonel's boot in my backside. I used to always go to your game reviews first anywhere I saw them and loved the many great scenarios you designed for so many of the games I've played. Especially enjoyed the ones for the original Combat Mission. My favorite was Wittman at Villers-Bocage, a version of which is available at the BFC forum for CMBN. Anyway, welcome to Grogs and what's your secret for still looking so good? Your the one in back right? Sorry... I said I would straighten up. ::) Hope you'll post here regularly and would love to hear your opinions on current wargaming in general.

Hi Bill,

I just wanted to say thank you.  Steel Panthers III & SP World at War were my first introductions to PC wargaming.  I really enjoyed the Campaigns in SP World at War  - tons of fun!
