Were they wrong to classify Gygax as a wargamer? He was heavily involved in wargaming prior to D&D taking off. Wargaming was how he met Arneson. He ran various wargaming clubs, wrote articles for zines and magazines (including The General), and also put out some games with Guidon Games.
