I've been thinking about jumping in on this. Is it fairly noob friendly?
They actually even make you play against the AI in tiers I and II.. but it shouldn't take long if playing with friends to get up to tier III. Where you can play against people.

There is a tutorial Jamus. It takes you through all the basics.

When your general reaches level 4, you are then required to play PvP.
Good news is that PvP isn't terribly difficult. Place your troops against the enemy, and let them fight.
The key here is to choose your battles. You have archers? Retreat from melee. You have horsemen? Attack archers. Very much a rock-paper-scissors combat.

Yeah I'll try to get on tonight. I did finish dl it last night but didn't get a chance to fire it up so fingers crossed no technical difficulties
