That's why I am having a poll! I have used I.E. for so long, I do not even know the options, much less their merits.
Waterfox and Dissenter.
Netscape on my i486 33DX
Some serious trolling in this thread. :2funny:
(I use Firefox, and listed as such, Win 8.1.)
Whats a browser? O:-)
Brave, Edge, and Chrome.
I need to move away from IE and you guys are supposed to be helping by giving me an idea of what is used out there. I feel like Sergeant Schultz talking to Col. Hogan & Crew.
I am testing Firefox. It is very laggy and seems bit clunky with favorites compared to IE. I have tried it off and on for several years, but keep going back to IE.
I'm using Bing which is not on your list although it is from the Microsoft blob.
My PC is getting cluttered with browsers :)
Trying out Opera...looks OK so far. Any pitfalls I should be aware of?
Well, Opera massively reduced their functionality and there's something else I can't quite recall right now....acquired by a dodgy company maybe? I could be wrong, haha!
However - if you like Opera I would strongly urge you to try Vivaldi (https://vivaldi.com). It's made by some former Opera staff who were irritated with the way the browser was going. It's very similar to the halcyon days when Opera used to be a much better browser. I like it because the devs take privacy seriously and because it's a very rich, featureful browser. I often say that using it feels luxurious. Also, being Chrome-based, there's a shitload of extensions to choose from.
After Firefox jumped the shark I tried Vivaldi and haven't looked back. It's perfect for me.

I'm not sure if you're trolling or not but Bing is a search engine, not a broswer. :)
Used Opera for ages but they changed to a tablet friendly approach which I hated. Eventually switched to Firefox but it's irratating me more an more. I may give Vivaldi a go.
I primarily use FF, and occasionally Chrome. I really don't like how FF continues to be a resource hog, but I find it's generally way better at blocking ads and website tracking (thanks in part to extensions I can't get on Chrome).
I avoid IE and Edge like the virtual plagues they are.

Not trolling - just ignorant.
Security is a big deal with me. That is why I hesitate on uncommon browsers like Opera and Vivaldi. Now you have me worried about Opera. Maybe Vivaldi is worth a go...?
Try Brave or Dissenter.
My son-in-law is a dedicated computer aficionado, as well as an engineer at TI. He thinks Brave is the best for security, but he uses Chrome most of the time. His thought is that if you use gmail, Google already owns you
