Homage to Catalonia and 3 other non-war related books by George Orwell are available today for $1.99 on Kindle.

Homage to Catalonia is an interesting and horrific account of Orwell's service as a volunteer in the Spanish Civil War.  I've read it and it is very gripping.

I've read one of the other 3 books in the deal, and it was not good.  But Homage shows the seeds of what Orwell experienced and eventually yielded 1984 and Animal Farm.
