Marshall Tucker Band, 1973
And a little bit of trivia for Memorial Day: The lead guitarist in Marshall Tucker was Toy Caldwell. Prior to his time with Marshall Tucker, he was a Marine and wounded in Vietnam. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toy_Caldwell
As far as gaming: I'm working on BoC, getting an updated image package out for CMO, finishing up a Combat Mission video AAR (which should be posted in the next couple of days, working on my Battle of Britain AAR, my Rule the Waves 3 AAR, reading the rules for GMT's "Sea of Thunder" and planting Hostas (yeah, I know that isnt' gaming, but it is unfortunately a big part of my life right now....
^Did not know that!
Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, Old World and Imperiums: Greek Wars for me.
In anticipation of the SGS games "We The People-New American Revolution" and "Battle for Spain" on the SCW in a few months I have picked up their games " Halls of Montezuma" about the US Mexican War in the 1840's and "Heia Safari" about the WW1 East African Campaign so I can practice the SGS rules.
Got both for just £12 in total so not much of a risk.
So far just played the first couple of moves in the Montezuma game and really like it.
1973 Was when music, and Life, was grand. :Dreamer: Many distractions this weekend but I'm gonna try to get a little closer to Victory in WitE 1, but probably will only get a chance to play a little Solasta or Second Front. Have a great Memorial Day weekend Grogs!
Still having fun with New World. Downloaded WH40K Gladius Relics of War for free on Steam but won't be getting to it any time soon.
Just came back from my business trip in Amman, Jordan, where I played some Chariots of war, civ 3 and Ozymandias (with the middle east setting). With this long weekend ahead, I think I will finally manage to play something but I don't know what yet. Imperiums could be a nice option (@Gus). :Dreamer:
^Whenever I take a look at Imperiums I think 'Anguille.'
UA Dreadnoughts - now playing
Probably Shadow Empires (a new game with all of the recent beta updates)
Possibly TW Warhammer III. Maybe they finally patched it into a decent game.
Feels ya on the planting stuff, Tripoli; I've a slew of tomato plants coming in that need to be parceled out to other pots as well as planter boxes that need attention prior to being used. Not to mention the typical yard stuffs needing attention. Still enjoy the work, mind you, in an "old man puttering around the yard listening to his music," kind of way.
Think I'll dl "GR: Breakpoint," and add in the "Spartan," mod for some good, ol' fashioned killin'.
Stay safe, folks!
Got a great game of Shadow Empire going right now on a huge planet. Man you never stop learning with this game.
Also TWWH3 as the Chaos Dwarves. Fun stuff.
On the ropes right now as the Confederacy in my SCACW PBEM...
Continuing my WITE2 campaign. Mid January and Soviets are slowly pushing me back. I had been fairly conservative in my advance and preserved my strength at the cost of not reaching Kharkov, Orel, Rhzev. My main adversary is the Blizzard attrition.

January 43 I assume?

Jan 42.
Boltgun - got yesterday and am having fun playing this while talking to buddies
Company of Heroes 3 - creating groups has been a bit iffy of late and so has the in game skin store since the lay offs.
Age of Empires IV - still good fun. I always have trouble choosing a side because I like them all.

Well Heroes & Generals is no longer online as the developer pulled the plug on it this past week. I'm still in disbelief after spending well over 3000 hours on the game. My go to shooter with heavy RPG elements is gone.
I'm sad...
Hug?

For me Hell Let Loose is pretty good. But unlike heroes and generals you will not find it so easy. You have to realise you are mortal and will die a lot even to get one kill. Game is super popular at the moment with tonnes of full servers. Leveling up though only consists of cosmetics. No pay to win here.

Thanks I should check it out. I have HLL but haven't played it in over a year.
As suspected, i played mostly Imperiums as the Nabateans (Petra) but haven't made good progress. I also finally started to play Star Trek Bridge: Commander. Having rewatched the entire first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation was the motivation boost i needed. Will continue to play this while watching season 2. :Dreamer:

Good luck commander. It's hell out there.

Have you tried the new Star Trek game just released? I am on fence as I wasn't a huge Star Trek fan growing up, but still tempted.

Oh! I will go check on HLL. I did get tired of Heroes and Generals years ago.
And now...Boardgames and Star Citizen
I finally started a new campaign as Egypt in Old World and I have never sucked so bad at a game I loved
I'll be spending a lot of time this weekend on Sphinx Haircut Simulator.
Again a full weekend of family tasks...
If i have time, i'll mostly play on with the following games:
- Star Trek: Bridge Commander
- Spelunky (funny Indiana Jones type of "indie" game)
- Star Wars Battlefont 2
- Stellaris
In keeping with the Southern Rock THeme: Two Lane Friday!
Me? BoC work. Rule the Waves3 AAR. Possibly begin work on Combat Mission: Triona Campaign Scenario 2. And CMO
So I won my small Old World campaign as Egypt against Assyria but I truly don't really know how and I was limited to building only one city the whole time. Last summer I learned to play at a basic level but pretty much forgot everything I learned. I played this game with some of the easiest settings on the Dead Sea map.
Started a new game as Egypt again and bumped up some of the difficulty settings on a Mediterranean map.

Spending time with an old friend: "Generation Zero".
The game has gone through a bunch of improvement since I last played. Making it even better...
Stealth, sniping, hunting, guns blazing FPS over a massive, beautiful rendering of Sweden in the 1980s. You are fighting a robot army, destroying enemy bases, building bases, crafting / etc.
Reminds me of Far Cry series, but not arcade-like, and has no cut-scene must dos... GZ is "open world" at its best.

Sounds intriguing!
Hello, everyone.
This weekend, I'll play my Master of Orion 2 game, which I bought on GOG, and started a few days ago. Also, I'm reading the manual for Imperialism 1. I've recently played quite a few strategy games, which have been on my GOG and Steam accounts. Other than that, perhaps I'll buy Rule the Waves 3 if it is on sale.
Besides PBEM games I played some Imperator Rome when I got tired of playtesting work. Headed out in a few hours so that will be all the gaming I see this weekend. Hoping the rains have finally passed and I can hopefully get in a combine to help a friend out for wheat harvest so maybe not much gaming for a good while with around 7,000 acres to harvest.
^You're a farmer?

Welcome HIRO! I have played Imperialism 2 every year since it came out (1990's!). It is set earlier (western europe expansion into North America).
Playing RTW3 right now. Trying to figure out what I'm doing.

Welcome aboard! I used to love playing Imperialism 1 & 2. Both are great games.
