You can always hop into a quick game on War Thunder.  Enjoy unparalleled historical accuracy.  Why, just the other night, I was flying my Lancaster alongside two Sovet Pe-8s and a German Me264 with 2 AM5 Zeroes as escort while we tried to sink the Imperial Japanese fleet off of Guam.  They were ably defended by B-17s, Folgores, and some French SBDs.

So, I think there's some salt being thrown back and forth between Jason and the IL2 russians.  It turns out the russians are pissed jason left and is now making a competing sim.  If you noticed the flyable B17 in the video and then Korea video shows videos of a B29 hinting it might one day be flyable.  Either way, if both are flyable, it's win win.

We'll have to see if the design philosophy from the IL2 BoX series that postulated the idea that "nobody wants to simulate bombsights" was Jason's or the Russians.  If they just go with the simplified, generic bombing system from IL2 and Flying Circus, I'll be disappointed.
