I am so, so disgustingly excited for the career mode in this. It might finally scratch that itch that only SimCopter has managed to scratch.

The career modes are going to be a great addition and I think that was the biggest gripe of the xboxers, nothing to do in 2020 but sight see and challenges. Putting some game into the sim will be interesting and draw more players. The scenery upgrades are suppose to be really good.

I dunno. I don't see why the whole marketplace should wait for the slow developers, including those developers who did their homework.

And the way it is worded you get your msfs2020 purchases immediately. So you can just start up 2020, buy what you want and it will pop up in 2024, no?

Just gimme career mode. Inject it into my veins. I lost an entire weekend to the technical weekend about a month ago and have been chomping at the bit ever since.

Which edition are you folks getting?

In 2020 I am mostly flying third-party modules, so I am not eager to pay a lot more for more MS planes.

I got the Aviator addition to support the career mode and because I didn't buy any planes for 2020.

I think I'm going to stick with the standard edition for now. I get this for free with my gamepass subscription. Nothing is really jumping out at me in the Deluxe version and there are really only three aircraft in the premium that I would feel like flying. The aircraft added with the aviator edition don't really make we want to jump either.

Is there any other major draw to the aviator edition? Or any of the other upgrade packages for that matter?

^ Not really, you are probably fine with standard. If you really like it, you can always upgrade later and maybe even at a steam sale discount. Only reason I can see to get some of the extended stock planes are that small mod teams release freeware upgrades that make them almost study level. Fly by wire did that with the in game A320. There was also one for the 787 that came in the premium edition. Also, it may provide you with more choices in the career mode.

Is there a pre-install? Or does the PC download start at 11:00 EST?

There is pre-load. It's been active for like over a month. I tend to avoid pre-loads because it still always seems to take a long time to verify once unlocked.

I haven't really looked this up much. I have 2020 and hardly played it. Not because it's bad but because - you know - open world do what you like. I like to have something to do. I hear this has a career mode...anyone shed any light?

I will of course go looking - but would like your insights.

I did have Air Hauler for 2020 but it crashed often iirc.
