Obsidian Portal - PBP RPG?

Has anyone used Obsidian Portal (http://www.obsidianportal.com/) to host at PBP RPG?  To me it looks like one of the better formats to try it in.

I had planned to use Obsidian Portal for a game a while back, but the game never really got off the ground. I've heard they have since undergone some upgrades and more are planned. I might need to check it out in more detail again and see what has changed.

I also looked at rpol.net for the actual PBP gameplay (for the game above) but didn't really like the layout and so had planned to go with my own forum format.

I wonder if either or both of those may be useful in helping with organizing the proposed  Battletech Campaign, especially Obsidian Portal?

I think Obsidian Portal is mainly designed to be a central point for housing campaign information and not really for facilitating any actual RP (the forums are IMHO the really weak point of the site). I do see that they have the Obsidian Portal Reforged kickstarter going: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/252020431/obsidian-portal-reforged Not really sure where they are headed with it. Looks to be more beefing things up as opposed to adding newer features but I haven't read into it in too much depth yet.
