Songs will be sung and beer quaffed for the sorry veterans of the Battle of the Fjord

It started so well

AT troops occupied the factory complex over looking the highway into town



Within seconds of setting up their effect was immediate - the first enemy probe was shattered



The left flank, short of good cover was monitored as other AT troops moved into the farm buildings



Over -eager to put the sword to the enemy the concealed tanks race to the next forest to close down enemy approaches.

'Olaf!? You did bring the tanks with the turrets, not those fixed guns yes?'

'We dont have any turreted tanks General'

'Arse'



As all lovers of fairy tales and picnics know - you should not go down to the woods today

Youre in for a big surprise

God knows what else -



Anti tank vehicles racing to help seem to explode on approach to the woods



The battle for the lumber mill

The town centre fills up with enemy armour and the IFVs in the mill are overwhelmed - the whole right flank is failing



On the left flank an enemy convoy is destroyed



The Forest of Doom - enemy recon come to make sure everyone is really dead



Return of the battle of the lumber mill - reinforcements arrive to take back the mill and its views of the centre of town

Thanks UCG!  Steam just happened to have it 75% off so $4 later I now own it and will be checking it out.  I have Red Dragon but haven't been able to get into it.  I hope the Slo-Mo mod will help.

UCG, you're making me want to give W:ALB another try, mate. I only gave it a passing bit of time. Not that it was a bad game - on the contrary, I was distracted by shinier bits.

different game altogether BC with the slo-mo mod - and whats really weird is the more i play at quarter and half speed, the more im becoming comfortable with full speed - its just training your mind to react to the situations and recognising what units are coming your way, and giving yourself time, once you can do that then the slo-mo mod can come off if required

I don't remember having an issue with the game's speed...then again I only played two or so scenarios.

Undercovergeek - got any tips for WG: ALB?   I'm using the slow-down tool, and that helps, but I'm a real newb at this game.
