Hey sorry, just checked this. Never got a notice of a reply.

The Blitz is a ladder based system that plays a wide variety of games in different ladders.  From all the Tiller/HPS/Battleground games from Ancients or Modern times, a whole host of various Matrix games and also Combat Mission series. It is more relaxed in a sense and offers gamers the ability to compete.

The Swiss Club for all intents and purposes is only hosted on Swiss servers, they are not anything Swiss related otherwise.  They are three separate Clubs, the American Civil War Game Club (ACWGC) , the Napoleonic Wargame Club (NWC)  and the Colonial Campaigns Club (CCC). Each play games from the various eras and game makers.

The ACWGC plays all John Tiller/HPS/Battleground Civil War games, Matrix Forge of Freedom & War Between the States and AGEOD's American Civil War.

The NWC plays all John Tiller/HPS/Battleground Napoleonic games, Matrix Crown of Glory, Slitherine's Commander: Napoleon at War, HistWars: Les Grognards and AGEOD's Napoleon's Campaigns.

Finally the CCC plays all Early American War Series games from John Tiller/HPS and also AGEOD's Birth of America, Birth of America II: Wars in America and Rise of Prussia.

Each of these three Clubs are more than just a ladder Club.  They have a historical format, that is independent of the games, but also adds extra flavor and fun to being a part of them.  It places you in a world where you enlist for one of the armies in a Club and after a short training game are given a rank and assigned to a historical unit in an army from era.  So an example, you join the ACWGC on the Union side, after a quick training game you can be assigned to a brigade in the Army of the Potomac, Army of the Shenandoah, Army of Tennessee or the Army of the Cumberland. There is a discussion board where different topics are discussed and you also look for opponents.  Each time you play a game there is a game system you register them in that tracks the game and the results.  Each time you end a game you get points, but what is different from a ladder is those points will eventually lead to a rank promotion and in many cases awards, medals, decorations and other things for your efforts on the battlefield. If you wish to get more involved than just playing games there are higher commands that come with responsibilities such as calling men under your command to a muster or roll call or leading them in a multiplayer game. But this leads to more points for extra duties as well as higher ranks and more medals et al.  Plus you get to know more people. It is all whatever you want to make it. So it has more of an actual military and historical feel to it while still being fun and rewarding.  It just has more to it than a ladder club like the Blitz.

The three direct Club links are:
