To be fair, it has drastically improved since release. I agree that when it first came out, it was one of my greatest disappointments in recent memory. In any event, with several major patches and a couple of DLCs I'm confident saying that it is now a very good game. It still has a somewhat steep learning curve, particularly with respect to the UI and figuring out how best to configure all of the automated systems so that you are playing the game rather than the game playing you.
But for 4x enthusiasts, it is definitely worthwhile.
So you would say DW2 over DW1 at this point?
