As figures for me, I had to reinstall windows so my Steel Beasts license isn't working.  I sent an email so maybe they'll have mercy on me and reset it.

Hi

You have a time limited license or Dongle? If time how long?

I had this section in reply 1 page 1 of this thread:

"Moving to a new pc? Not possible (but a workaround exists, see below).

Create a backup of C:\ProgramData\CodeMeter\CmAct
This  folder  contains  the  encrypted  license  files.  If you simply
reinstall  Windows  you can restore this folder after reinstalling the
CodeMeter runtime, and things SHOULD work normally - provided that you
didn't  change the Windows registration code along with other hardware
elements that the CodeMeter runtime uses to verify the validity of the
license.
We're  tracking  a  fingerprint of five elements, e.g. network adapter
MAC  address,  harddisk  serial number, CPU ID; three of the five must
remain the same not to render the license invalid.

If  you are planning to replace the PC, it's best to time the purchase
of  the  new hardware with the expiration date of the license. If that
isn't possible, you can still configure the old PC as a license server
in the "Configuration | Network Server" tab of the CodeMeter WebAdmin.
The  new PC can then borrow its license from the old PC, provided that
they are connected vial network."

^This is all based on the non-Codemeter Stick installs, right? If one has the USB stick then it should be possible to reinstall in an entirely different machine, no?

Correct

You can install the software on any number of machines and either:
1. Plug the dongle directly into the machine you want to use SB on.
2.Remotely access the license over the internet or over a Lan.
3. You can format the PC as the license resides on the USB dongle.

Ok thats my problem :(  Since the machine went down on its own I decided it was time to upgrade and installed a new motherboard and CPU.  I actually upgrade pretty regularly due to my job so a Classic License would be best for me.

Thanks for the help Asid. I look forward to watching the streamed events until I can save up my pennies for the Classic License.

Pop into the DOW channel on TS. Lets see what i can do :)

Reference the licensing. The Dongle works really well and is extremely flexible :)

JudgeDredd

I've not had any time to devote to this recently, but I will try to make an appearance next week. My wife and kids are away on Sunday, so I might be able to pop on next Sunday...

I'll also try for a wee go during the week. I've just not been gaming much at all. What gaming time I have had, I've been on DCS Mig-21bis and my board gaming.

Do those 4 GIBs shoot at stuff as well? Does the AI handle it or can you direct their small-arms fire?

They do shoot. They are AI controlled while in the vehicle. You can dismount them and take control of them directly  O0
